The purpose of Roots in AZ Community Agency is to provide restorative and life-changing assistance to adults and teens to help them embrace rehabilitation, resiliency, and wellness reducing recidivism and homeless rates in both young adults and adults.
Our main goal is to reduce local recidivism rates while decreasing the number of homeless individuals and families. Our secondary goals are depicted in our 5 pillars of success.
The population served is a unique one as our focus is lasered. We serve Men, Women & Families Ages 18-55 in Shelters, Families of Incarcerated Persons, Youth in Juvenile Court of foster care ages 12-21, and Previously incarcerated persons experiencing hardships.
Support- Provide Behavioral Health Management, Personal assistance, Peer Support, Family support, Case management, Mobile Crisis Unit
Collaborate- Collaborate with local organizations for Mental Wellness community events, Community Service opportunities, Community Outreach/Volunteer Opportunities
Rehabilitate- Provide Education, Workshops, Entrepreneurial Programs, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Living skills training
Empower- Mentorship Groups, Weekly Award Ceremonies, Confidence Coaching
Connect- Connect individuals and families to culturally competent community resources and Safe Spaces for ongoing support
